Miers Found Christ, Turned Republican

Pres. Bush's latest Supreme Court nominee accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and later changed her party membership to Republican after long being active in the Democratic party! She is now active in the pro-life movement. How amazing is it to read a story like that? It is great to see this testimony of the changing power of Christ! Praise God for this. I think I can fully support Harriet Miers nomination to the Supreme Court. I pray many people read this (it is said to be set to run in Wednesday's New York Times) and turn to the Lord.

Part of me worries that Miers was better off before this aspect of her life went public. Now that the New York Times has hold of this pro-life part of her personal philosophy, the Senate may have a field day with her. They'll lambast her for having "found Jesus" and she may not get confirmed. Still, everyone knew that Roberts is a devout Catholic and he still got through. Let's keep the prayers flowing!

I'm not sure I want her confirmed....so, the prayers will keep flowing - for God's will, not Bush's. Or, if the twain meet, then, both :).
