Category 5 Hurricane Katrina is about to hit New Orleans as of Sunday night. Not good. Not only will she bring destruction upon New Orleans, she is also driving up already high gas prices.

Now, I'm concerned for the people of Louisiana, trust me (though they live in Northern LA, my parents will still be effected). But, a naturally occuring weather pattern is your sign of the apocolypse this week? What is it going to be next week? There was a cloud in the sky, and it looked at you funny? The basketball one was a sign that this part of your blog needs to come to an end, and this weeks proves the Old Yellar theory, a sick dog needs to be shot!
The purpose of "This Week's Sign..." is a tongue in cheek look at various stories and events in the world. It is not meant to be serious, but rather to poke fun at the "sky is falling" mentality employed by many (including myself) when reading the news. So if you don't find it funny, that's okay. For the time being, I'm going to leave it, cause I like it.
Keep score, like watching a basketball game. It could be a whole new sport!
