Ghastly

Here is an article offering a look inside an abortion clinic including the thoughts of the abortionist, some of his patients, and a gut-wrenching, though general, description of an abortion. You'll be speechless afterwards. Interestingly, it's printed in the Los Angeles Times.

hmmm... the President's speech probably should be nationally televised. Know what will be nationally televised tomorrow? Or, rather what will be aired on C-Span (okay, so a long way from nationally televised)? The Supreme Court is hearing an abortion case tomorrow and C-Span is airing the oral arguments right after they take place. This is the case out of New Jersey about their seldom used parental notification law.

Reading a description is nothing - I've seen a video called The Silent Scream in which they actually show the ultrasound of an abortion taking place. It was shown in my religious education class when I was in 8th grade - very eye-opening. Not that I wasn't already against abortion in all cases at that point - but it helped solidify my position somethin' fierce!

I've seen that video a couple of times - the most horrid, awful thing I've ever seen. Maybe that's what they should show in biology classes instead of the 'origin of life' or whatever video :).

Justin,
I've also seen that video, as well as several similar ones...it is very gut wrenching. The thing is, I've never read or seen something that actually described what's happening outside of the baby. Reading what the doctor says and how the patient reacts, was absolutely eye-opening. It shows just how evil, prideful, and selfish man is. It also shows just how much man needs a Savior.

I just reread the article and was struck by something different this time. The response of the women who think that abortion is, "no big deal." It makes me very sad that we have made abortion such a part of our culture that no one even really thinks about it. What selfish people we all are! Having a baby would ruin my life, having a baby would burden me. Sorry...I was just struck by that this afternoon.
